I have been a guest on a couple if podcasts recently (aka in 2018): The Sewers of Paris (where I spilled my guts to my good friend Matthew Baume) and also Petticoat Rule, where I got to talk super confidently about my industry (RAH-DEO) to Erika Laing and Tara Molesworth. It felt awesome to be able to blab my head off about my experience in this male-dominated field and how the Telecommunications Act of 1996 really made a mess of radio (we’re still feeling the effects of it today, people!).
ANYWAYS. I’m happy to report that “Petticoat Rule” was recently cited as one of Next Pittsburgh’s “7 Pittsburgh podcasts you don’t want to miss.” V COOL, RIGHT? I love what those ladies are doing (interviews with female musicians and influencers in P-burgh) and happy to see them get some sweet recognition. They’ve also interviewed Blak Rapp MADUSA, Casey Hanner and Molly Alphabet. Also, Erika is a very talented musician (in Working Breed) who plays musical saw and trombone among other instruments. She played WYEP’s Holiday Hootenanny in 2017 and stole the show with this incredible outfit:
